Usually I’m out of the room when this happens but just today I was right beside him and had just asked him if he wanted to go pee. Help!

That’s a heartbreaker. Great reminders that even for kids with non-traumatic backgrounds the adjustment to full blown – all good with pee and poo – takes quite a long time, and being a meanie isn’t going to help anyone.
