First Giveaway

I’m going to state right away that this is most likely one of the lamest giveaways in the history of blogdom, but it’s MY first giveaway, lame or not.

It’s the cook book called South of the Sahara. I own this book, and find it to be quite authentic of my time in Ghana. Not so lame, right?

Here’s the lame part. My copy is used. It’s a discard library book, complete with library barcodes.

I’m not asking you to ‘follow’ me, or facebook, or tweet, or, or, or. Just leave me a comment, or email for those of you who don’t comment, and my kids will draw a name out of a hat next Friday or Saturday. Aka when I get around to it.

Who can say no to a free book, delivered to your door, about food?

Happy Monday!

    Here’s my comment;

    I would like this book.

But there is a catch. You must deliver it to me in person.

  2. Mellissa Says:

That is not lame! The book looks neat.

  3. tafel Says:

Ooh, I think Flora’s on to something. Not sure how well it would work if *I* set that condition though….

  4. Mary Says:

I want this giveaway…badly! Therefore it must not be lame. :)

  5. Candise Says:

impossible for a giveaway to be lame, free stuff is exciting no matter what it is and the chance of winning is fun! My heart has already started racing as I write this….maybe that makes me the lame one.

  6. Gwen Says:

About half the books in my home have a crossed-out barcode on them — some even have an old pocket glued on the front page, with a borrower’s card still in the pocket. I like taking out the cards and seeing that Ellen Anderson checked out the book in July 1973. What a thrill!

So, yeah, it would match my library — count me in!

  7. Rhonda Says:

Oooo count me in. I like free stuff!

  8. Melissa Burpee Says:

    A cookbook! I’m in.

  9. Melissa Says:

    Me! Pick me!!

  10. deathstar44 Says:

I would also enjoy this book so put my name in the hat!

  11. Teresa Grainger Says:

Totally NOT lame! This looks like a great book. I would love to try something new!
